Pottawattamie County Woman Injured in Car Versus Pedestrian Accident

Posted December 14, 2015 in Personal Injury Blog

Council Bluffs police are reporting that Charolette Meyer, 64,  was hit by a car driven by Cheryl Larson, 66, of Omaha. The incident reportedly occurred on 24th Street in Council Bluffs.

Ms. Meyer was transported from the scene of the accident to the University of Nebraska Medical Center. It is being reported that her injuries include a fractured right leg, fractured ribs, minor bleeding on the brain, a laceration and abrasions.

Authorities say Larson was northbound on 24th Street. She then stopped at the traffic light on South 24th and 27th Avenue. Larson then proceeded northbound and swerved to miss a male walking in the roadway and struck Meyer in the process. Ms. Larson says she didn’t see them due to their dark clothing and weather conditions.
